DALE COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY

REPUBLICAN NATIONAL CONVENTION
Highlights from RNC Convention

The Alabama Delegation gathered on Sunday for a service of prayer and
devotion followed by a brunch at the Tampa Club.  Food, view, and
speakers were excellent. The RNC Welcome Party kicked off that evening
with a variety of entertainment and food, and a chance to meet fellow
Republicans from across this great nation.
Despite the cancellation of
Monday's RNC meeting due to tropical storm Isaac, our days started early
and ended late.  The Alabama Delegation met for breakfast/ meeting at
7:30 AM each morning, and  had the privilege of hearing from Gov. Scott

Walker, Gov. Chris Christie, Sen Rick Santorum, Condi Rice, Artur Davis,
Tag Romney, RNC Chair Reince Priebus, and several others.  The
morning meetings were followed by other special events.  Tuesday, the
convention started at 2:00 PM and ended at 11:00 PM.  Ann Romney's
speech was the highlight of the evening.  Wednesday, Congressman Paul
Ryan gave his acceptance speech as our Vice Presidential nominee, and
Thursday Mitt Romney gave his  acceptance speech as the presidential
nominee for the GOP.  All the speakers were excellent and certainly

energized the base, despite what the liberal press has written.  I believe

Ann and Mitt connected with the American people this week.  Now, we
must continue working hard to register new voters and turn out the vote on
November 6th, in order to put this nation back on the right track.
